93862 2002-10-28 21:07:00 I am currently running Norton SystemWorks Professional 2002 on Win 2K Pro, but have recently acquired NSW Pro 2003 (thanks PC World !!). The manual states that any previous versions should be uninstalled prior to installing the new version. Doesn't sound too hard. However, one of the base applicatiosn in NSW 2002 was WinFax Basic Edition. This is NOT included in the 2003 version. As yet I haven't even attempted the upgrade as I don't want to lose the fax application. Is it possible to install the WinFax application independently of NSW 2002 or do I now have to purchase it separately?

Cheers

93863 2002-10-28 21:12:00 Best bet would be to stick in the NSW2002, CD and see if there is an option to install it seperately (i'd imagine you can)
otherwise, cleansweep it, then uninstall NSW2002, install NSW2003, then use cleansweep to bring it back again

93864 2002-10-28 21:14:00 have a look on the 2002 cd. i'm fairly sure you will find it as a app which you can install seperately. the only thing is it won't be intergrated into the norton manager (like thats a big loss ;-)) tweak'e (174)
