93849 2002-10-28 19:22:00 I am running Windows XP Pro and today I read in the newspaper an article on XP by Chris Barton saying "Out of interest I checked my installation history and found I've done 60 update downloads over the last year."

As a matter of interest where might I find an installation history in Win XP?

93850 2002-10-28 20:18:00 Go to the Windows Update Site Windows_Update (v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com) on your XP machine

On the left hand panel of the browser screen under the Other Options is the View Installation History

Cheers, Babe.

At a guess I'd say you could find the installation history in the "Add/Remove Programs" section of the Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs) - usually most of the Microsoft update hotfixes are listed in there I believe.

There could be an easier way to find it though, I'm not sure.

LOL Ah yes, this would be a much better way of doing it than what I suggested :D

Thanks heaps for that. As I rarely use MS Explorer I did not know that option was there, but have since found it. Always good to know what you have in fact downloaded, so thank you.
