4102You should really uninstall that programme and install Avast WT. That way you would have never found out and you would have thought the download was fine. :p

1295006 2012-08-16 21:41:00 Hi,thats strange when I checked it with Virus Total 0/42 virus programmes gave it a clean bill of health, including ESET-NOD32 (see attached file) ruup (1827)
1295007 2012-08-16 22:30:00 Web Of Trust didn't like the site, then NOD said it was bad as well. After getting blocked twice, I too gave up. Nick G (16709)

Nope, Norton is the answer for problem pages. The PC won't have finished booting until way after bedtime, Norton works by starving the virus into submission.

1295009 2012-08-16 22:48:00 Stranger and stranger...WOT and avast site checkers both give the websites a clean bill of health.Give away of the day is now featuring the software... are they all part of a conspiracy? ruup (1827)
1295010 2012-08-16 23:40:00 Downloading from Giveaway of the day, will see what NOD thinks.
Well, I might download it. I'm only getting 16kb a second from there.

1295011 2012-08-17 01:17:00 Same thing from Giveawayoftheday, so must be something in the packaging/ Zip file, as it downloaded fine from wondershare, but the provided key doesn't work.

1295012 2012-08-17 03:00:00 Just an update to the above.

Downloaded the file on another PC that didn't have a AV installed. Put it on a flash drive, scanned and it came up clean, so maybe its the sites that are causing troubles.

Heres something odd as well, the exe from windows club is 4.8MB, yet the zipped file from giveawayoftheday is 11.6MB, so what GOTD packing apart from a txt file which is all of 1KB ??
