1293937 2012-08-11 23:09:00 I have found a couple of touch screen phones without Android. The vodafone 455, and LG T310.
Both of those are utter crap.

Nick, what about making a worthwhile contribution to the forum, and instead of wasting space (as you do), tell us why they are "utter crap." No hearsay, just a subjective analysis and argument.

Thought it would be pretty obvious, but fine. The vodafone 455 has a 2.4 inch resistive display, so it will almost unusable. The LG T310 again has a resistive display, so will again be pretty awful to use. Really, if it isn't capacitive, don't buy it.
Question though. Why do you want a touchscreen so much? To me, a touchscreen really only makes sense if buying a smartphone.

1293940 2012-08-12 03:36:00 The Nokia Lumia 710 is on sale for $199 in store TODAY only. My mate just got it. sahilcc7 (15483)
1293941 2012-08-12 10:00:00 Some of the budget Nokia Asha's are advertised with a "responsive" touch screen and full qwerty key board. From Digi Parallel Imports... (www.digiparallelimports.co.nz) kahawai chaser (3545)
1293942 2012-08-12 10:22:00 Just keep in mind that no matter what you buy in that range, it's never going to be the same as spending $1K on an iPhone 4S, or something like the quad-core 1.5Ghz HTC One X.... So long as you realize that, you'll be fine, a lot in the $250 range are quite decent these days :)

icow, that's the 845 which was a resistive touch screen. The 858 is capacitive, much better. See here: www.knowyourmobile.com

No it definitely was the 858. I really dont want to try a 845 XD

1293943 2012-08-12 12:18:00 Vodafone Smart II! Great budget phone for $179. I've played with one briefly and it was quite good.

And got editors choice in PCWorld's budget smartphone roundup.
Are they any more reliable than the anti-virus awards.
