Why do you want to change a pdf? Isn't your obituary written the way you want it?

I have got the idea in my head that it is possible to change the wording by cunning means,I got the idea from a previous inquiry on what was the point of a PDF, now it seems I am wrong, which is sad seeing as how I bragged to friend that I could alter one of her PDF's, none of us like to be wrong, do we?

Thanks Zwert and Ga.

1294908 2012-08-15 22:50:00 Upload it for free to Nitro PDF and they send it back as a word doc

And afterwards edit what you want then use the "save as" in Word to save it back to a pdf file. Should be easy for you, Cic. (Just don't tell them how you did it. They will think you very clever, indeed.)

The question is Ros, will I be able to alter the PDF?

My method does not edit the pdf file as such. Use, as Gary suggested, Nitro PDF to convert the pdf file to a Word document, edit the pdf file in Word, then use the "save as" in Word to convert it back to a pdf file. You have, in effect, edited the pdf file. Clever, eh? Easy peasy, Cic.

1294912 2012-08-16 07:46:00 did you send it to them? it should come back attached as a word doc to the email you get back from them gary67 (56)
1294913 2012-08-16 15:08:00 Isn't there some sort of embedded time stamp/date/sender code in each PDF? If the original v altered PDF aren't the same digital-sig, can't that be detected? SurferJoe46 (51)

1294915 2012-08-16 22:33:00 Save a copy of the Word.doc with a new name then you will be able to edit it, I just add mod_date to the end of the original name. zqwerty (97)

No good Zwert, tried that and nothing.

When I click on new doc little squares appear all round and that it.!

I could send it to you or Ga to have a go?
