Now I see she's Whining about not getting it at the victory ceremony and her family weren't there to see it . Wonder if her coach will lay off the witch hunt to crucify the person who made the original clerical error . . Why shouldn't she? She was robbed of that (for some) once in a life time (if not once every 4 year) moment . I hope they do a ceremony for her and her gold . I do agree that both Coach and Val need to forget about the line-up error . It didn't stop her from participating or winning the gold in this case . "Hmmm . . . upgrades!" Neo I lol'd  |

Have an 'off day' where you dont win and throw a little temper tantrum, cry a bit, make people feel sorry for you, and what-have-you, and all of a sudden you have it your way. Sounding pretty familier in this country. That's what we think around here as well. She wont be remembered in these games for winning the medal, she will be remembered for throwing a hissy fit wa wa wa. OK sure Nadzeya Ostapchuk cheated and got caught, but the excuses by Valerie Adams before that was dreadful. Ohh I lost boohoo. Look at the others that got medals, over the moon, no complaining 2nd or third. |

Sure, I can understand not being registered throwing you, but then to blame that and turn that into a huge issue when you fail to throw well enough. Regardless of the other one cheating, her conduct was pretty awful. Now Nick Willis, much better. He was even more of a disappointment, but there was no excuses, no complaining, just an 'I didn't run well enough' from him. Good on him, he was a true professional and definitely impressed me with his conduct. |

Disqualification of an opponent who cheated expunges that person from the contest and it is as if they were not present . The results then show that of the persons competing legitimately, that is, within the rules, one individual achieved the greatest distance, thus winning the Gold . The same applies to Silver and Bronze, and it is petty and small-minded semantics to suggest otherwise . Cheers Billy 8-{) |
