94538	2002-10-30 05:56:00	First step - check that your web site is optimized for search engines. www.submit-it.com tells you all about how to do this. Second step - Visit each of the search engines in turn and add your link. If you go to Search NZ - http://www.searchnz.co.nz - just below the search box is a link "Add your site". Click this link and follow the instructions. There are programs such as "Submit it" and "add me" that will do the hard work for you. Not sure of the current status of these programs but they used to do 10 engines for free and if you wanted to submit to lots of engines then you bought their fully featured program. My suggestion is to do it by hand for 3 or 4 engines, search out and use a free one, then decide whether to carry on by hand or whether to buy a program.	Heather P (163)
