2002-10-30 02:03:00 | I got XP(HE) OS. Im the only one using my XP. But the problem here is when I tick the box on password on my screensaver how come is not enable or not working? If you know what I mean? So is there a step to this? | shockwave (1089) | |

You probably haven't got a "user" account, and are being the "Administrator", without a password. This is probably be a Bad Idea if you are connecting this computer to the Internet. | Graham L (2) | ||

2002-10-30 02:32:00 | You'll need to set yourself up with a password for the login in the first place, and prefferably a new USER account, even with Admini rights. | Chilling_Silence (9) | |

2002-10-30 02:43:00 | AFAIK (I dont use XP) It uses the Login password and username, so you have to make sure that its not automatically logging you in, and that you have a password that's not blank. | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
2002-10-30 02:55:00 | Shockwave, Ok so you got a username / password setup for WinXP HE. You've set a screensaver and you've got a time wait and selected the On resume, password protect check box or if Fast User Switching is turned on, selected the On resume, display Welcome screen check box. But it's not working? How are you testing this... if you are testing by manually starting the screensaver this will NOT work under XP HE. Wait the timeout value and check that it works. Babe.
