2002-10-29 08:18:00 | Howdy, I'd successfully installed a GeForce 2 MX/MX400 64MB w/TV out and had it hooked up to the TV and working fine. As installation was relatively easy I then cockily (stupidly!) decided to have a fiddle with a few settings. The main one I remember changing is the screen area on the TV output from 640x480 to 800x600. Now all I can see on the TV is my wallpaper - no folder icons or anything, just the wallpaper. Not sure what other info may be relevant but would sure like to hear from someone out there that may have some ideas! :) Regards, Chris.

2002-10-29 08:33:00 | You have probably changed a setting with screen ratio sizes. this has happened on some older Toshiba Laptops. Have a hunt around for that setting, i've forgotten what it's called. Hope this helps Chao

2002-10-29 08:38:00 | Thanks Chao. Can't find any "screen ratio sizes" though. In Display Properties/Settings there's a window that has the two 'monitors' in it, and they're proportionally the same, depending on the selected screen area of each. Their relative sizes change accordingly when i change either of their screen areas, as I have more than a few times since this happened! :) | tk102 (2379) | |
2002-10-29 08:38:00 | is this on pc or laptop? Well, can u see the mouse moving around, if so, then right click and go click on refresh desktop, that should work. Or if it doesn't try and disconnect and use the pc screen and view the tv out setting in control panel, Display, Settings tab, and adjust the size and click on advanced to see wot the other tv out setings are. cheers, v.K

2002-10-29 09:10:00 | Yeehaw! Cheers folks. I went and disabled the output to the second monitor through the Settings window and then went into Advanced/Twin View/Clone. Looks like I was trying to enable it again through the wrong door I guess... Stoked - truly stoked. Thank you so much! :)
