94227 2002-10-29 09:02:00 try the warehouse, the transonic cds are pretty good but unreliable because they often produces coasters. and they sell for 25 cds for $20 (last time i checked) and the also sell SKC brand which is the most reliable and affordable cds. 22cds for $20.

cheers,

94228 2002-10-29 09:51:00 skc from the warehouse and woolworths are cheap and reliable $12-14 for a 12 pack
Melody From dick smith, warehouse and warehouse stationary $10 for a 10 pack are also very reilable
For bulk cd buying several small comp stores sell attera media cdrs $35 for 50 , $55 for 100. I use them regularly and while NO cdrs are 100% reliable all the above usually give 95% success rate if You have a decent burner.
Avoid Transonic from the warehouse and mr data from warehouse stationary. you can get good batches of these but who wants to gamble ?

By the by, Melody cdrw are my prefered choice. They have never failed me yet.

Melody CDRW can't fail, they can be re-written again and again.:D so can all the other cdrws, {(i don't mean to be sarky):)} (in theory they only last for 1000 rewrites, as time progresses the limit on a cdrw shortens, e.g a 700mb CDRW, in 1 yr wil become around 670MB limit (after buring quite alot).it will get smaller and smaller till u get to the point u have to throw it away.

cheers,

Gosh, gee willy. I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for expanding my technological horizons to greater heights of understanding {(i don't mean to be sarky)

By the by I should have clarified that i prefer melody cdrw as a reliable, economical choice for non- archival, mission critical backups of data that is able to be modified, erased and reused (up to the point your odometer reaches 999 burns and then u toss the sucker out)

Harvey Norman in Dunedin sell them for $4.95 per 10pack.
