| 94776 | 2002-10-31 06:20:00 | When I turn my computer on there is an advertisement for Pokemon 3 movie 2001, on the desktop. It obscures most of the icons. The only thing one can activate on it is "play" and if I try to get rid of it by Alt-F4 it plays anyway. There are Pokemon figures popping up all over the desk top including coming out of the games folder. Finally a screen comes up with a X which when pressed deletes the thing but only temporarily and then it starts all over again. Coincidentally?? since it began I have had a lot of trouble with use of the internet eg. frequent messages saying an illegal operation has been performed and shutting it down. Can anyone tell me how to be rid of it permanently? I have a 486 running Windows 95. I am a novice so please make any replies easy to understand. |

| 94777 | 2002-10-31 06:47:00 | Go here (download.com.com) and download and install Adaware. Once installed, open Adaware from your Start menu and click Scan Now. This will scan your system for any adware/spyware nasties (which is what your problem sounds like) and give you the option to remove them. :) |
