94770 2002-10-31 04:10:00 just wondering if i can get the autorun file to point to soemthing else when it has been loaded. The autorun file consists of

[autorun]
open=setup.exe
icon=setup.exe

now i have a .wmv file that i would like to autorun when the cd is loaded, the file is op.wmv, now can i do something like

[autorun]
open=op.wmv
icon=????????

would the above work? and wot icon should be there? i tried it like this on a cdrw

[autorun]
open=op.wmv
icon=op.wmv

it didn't work. So wot can i do? Thanks in advance.

cheers,

94771 2002-10-31 04:20:00 I dont think you'd need an icon, and that should just open the file in the default viewer.

I'll check out some other similar Autorun files I've seen on CD's for ya

You can run a .bat to loade your .wmv, or you can make an .exe to run it. It is all detailed in the Autorun FAQ - go read it.

I recommend using the utility metioned in the FAQ (Karen's ...) as I have tried it and it is very easy to use, and works well.

That's the one! Works well, except I have sometimes found that the icon doesn't work on my drives desktop shortcut, just on the actual drives icon in explorer - it always works for the PCworld discs, so ?????
