| 94742 | 2002-10-30 22:53:00 | I created an adminsitrator account under Windwos XP which I now want to delete. It says I cannot delete it even though I am logged in under the original setup adminstrator. How do I do it? | bpt1 (419) | ||

| 94748 | 2002-10-31 02:09:00 | In Windows NT, 2000 and XP it is not possible to delete an administrator account that has been created from a copy of the original administrator account. This is an inbuilt restriction by MS to avoid deleting all accounts and voiding access to the OS. It is only possible to delete an account with administrator privileges when the account has been created from new - though best initial action should be to disable the account. |
