| 94651 | 2002-10-30 09:52:00 | I had GoBack2 and Win95, couldn't praise it enough. A recent computer hardware upgrade and Win2000 Pro meant that I had to install a newer Norton System Works and GoBack3 which was bundled. After installing GoBack, my computer won't do restarts from the start button, just closes down to a blue screen. Tried Roxio and Norton Websites. Left message on Norton site, over 2 weeks ago, techs must be on strike, no answer. Left message on Roxio site, same result. Lots of people posting the same problem, one guy from back in May, hasn't had a solution yet. Looked for places on both sites to email someone, no such luck. They don't want you to contact them. Tried Symantic in Auckland phone book. Got redirected to an 0800 number which insisted that it was not an installation problem, so no free help. Help available at forty odd A$ if I wished. I think it is an installation problem. Tried download patch from site. When running it a reg number required, but no reg number with system Works. No number, no download. F....... this is frustrating. Took GoBack off in desperation. Got shutdown and restart working again but no GoBack.........Bugger. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks | Vivienne (2393) | ||
| 94652 | 2002-10-30 20:24:00 | I can't help you but i know where your coming from. I too installed Go Back 3 a week ago. I found that sometimes it would let my computer boot up, and sometimes it wouldnt Sometimes it would get to windows splash screen and that was it, it wouldn't load anymore. So what do i do, i entered into go back and revert it back to a couple hours before, when everything is working fine. Nope still no difference. Tried safemode, no still no difference The only way windows would start again is by disabling go back, problem was i didn't send go-back forward again and lost 2 hours of exam preparation. It has since been uninstalled. |
