| 94582 | 2002-10-30 06:13:00 | Hello People Which is better for home entertainment, games, internet and work. I been thinking about buying XP home but all my friends keeps telling me to buy XP Pro because is way better than XP home. Which one is better for my needs? But the way XP needs 128 MB of RAM to run, right? What if I only have 128MB of RAM would I still be able to play games that needs at least 64MB with out lags etc Thanks |

| 94583 | 2002-10-30 06:28:00 | I think anyone trying to do anything with a mere 128 meg of RAM is pushing the preverbial in 'doze these days Also, although i don't know what your needs might be, i think you might get some insite from this thread Here. (pressf1.co.nz) .Clueless |

You might find your computer struggles with XP and only 128mb. XP Home will probably be fine for what you want it for - XP Pro has extra security and networking features that make it distinct from the Home version, but if you're not going to use them, you probably don't need to spend the extra money. All-in-all a program that runs on XP Pro will run just the same on XP Home - they're the same operating system, just one has more features. HTH Mike. |
