| 94640 | 2002-10-31 03:23:00 | Man I love Linux :D I finally got it going (well, I reinstalled it LOL) and there's no text on screen unless I move the mouse pointer over it, and it slowly reappears... so I deleted it, and will wait for Mandrake 9 to arrive and then I'll install that :D Ctrl/Alt/Backspace doesn't work as the GDI totally crashes and no keypresses do anything. Mike. |

| 94642 | 2002-10-31 05:04:00 | Hi Mike, So you don't like Lycoris Desktop? I have been eyeing up that distro. Is it just not your cup of tea or do you think it is buggy. I see that you may move to Mandrake 9, umm .... what are you going to do with your old Lycoris CD(s)? ;-) Jen :-) |

It's a very basic version - they've tried to make it as Windows-like as possible, so there's not much to learn from it. I think I might try loading it again, but in a different way ;) >>> I see that you may move to Mandrake 9, umm .... what are >>> you going to do with your old Lycoris CD(s)? ;) It's not that I may move to Mandrake 9... I am moving to Mandrake 9 - it's coming out on next month's APC magazine ;) I'm keeping my Lycoris CD LOL Mike. |
