| 95322 | 2002-11-02 01:32:00 | I recently took 138 photos on a trip with a new digital camera . I wish to arrange them in the order in which they were taken . I have the same 3 numbers first to distinguish them from subsequent sets of photos . I then have a 3/4 word caption . Then I have the numbered order in which they were taken . Despite rearranging them several times the computer always returns the order to alphabetical order of the captions . Can someone please help? |

What you have is a fixed numeric "key", followed by a alphabetic string, then a sequence number . I'd reverse the order of the last two so you have <set number><sequence number>< Caption > . Then they will always sort in the order you want . |

You can then return to "View / Thumbnails" or "View / Filmstrip" and they will be in date order. Make sure you have "Remeber each folders view settings" checked in "Tools / Folder Options / View" | wuppo (41) | ||
