95176 2002-11-01 10:36:00 I believe that a thief is able to access my emails addresses and read and delete my important emails Some of these are quite confidential or work type thing. I have changed my password three times, but the thief is still able to access. How is the thief able to do this? olento (1662)

95179 2002-11-01 10:54:00 Hi Mike, when I log into my email address, I find mails that I am certain that were not present before, have already been marked as 'read' or is already in the trash can. These I know I didn't do. olento (1662)
95180 2002-11-01 10:59:00 Hi Olento

If you are using Outlook Express, have you got the Preview Pane enabled?

95181 2002-11-01 11:02:00 Sorry, bumped the Post Message button by mistake before I had finished.

If you have the Preview Pane open, it might appear that messages have been read when you open OE

To turn it off, go to (in Outlook Express) View and untick Preview Pane

95185 2002-11-01 19:40:00 You also said that some of your new emails were found in the trash.

Do you have Message Rules - Mail Rules activated? If you do, you might be trashing these emails accidently yourself from certain key words in the emails. Check some of the trashed emails and see if you can spot the offending word(s) in them - you might have to remove these words from the rules filter.
