Microsoft released DirectX 8.2 officially as a minor update on September 27th. This download contains DirectX 8.1b plus some DirectPlay fixes related to performance and connectivity issues exhibited with some online multiplayer game titles. This release of DirectX is not recommended for general installation. You should only consider installing this release if you have an online gaming problem that has been identified as being fixed with DirectX 8.2. This version of DirectX can replace all previous released versions of DirectX. Download DirectX 8.2 (www.microsoft.com) Audigy 2 Software Suite Leaked It looks like chinese website MyDrivers has found a leaked or ripped version of the Audigy 2 software and drivers. They are offering two download links: the complete set at 179Mbyte and drivers only at 24Mbyte. According to MyDrivers the new revised driver and software suite also works on original Audigy and SoundBlaster Live! cards. They also seem to produce a little richer and warmer sound says MyDrivers. However it is unknown to which extent Live! and Audigy users can utilize the Audigy 2 software and if there are problems when using it (bugs?). CPU ID displays all the available information about your computers current processor. The information given includes model number, processor family, cache size, clock speed, and manufacturer codename plus much more. Some information displayed such as processor codename, transistor count, socket type and die size are listed from internal lookup tables. 95053	2002-11-01 07:59:00	as far as i know there is no region killer program that can kill a dvd drive. the main way people accidently kill their dvd drive is wrongly flashing the dvd firmware. don't know if that program does what it claims to with rpc1 (locked) drives, i don't need to use it ;-)	tweak'e (174)
95054	2002-11-01 08:02:00	Oh ok coz i've got like 1 region left...out of 4...and i dont want to watch nemore dvds..but wanting to definately :D i dont want to coz i know when all regions are used up..its stuck on the last used region..and thats it... and i wnat some "free region" thingy i can download and use that and have a region free dvd player :D is this one good enuf or...anything.. and if u recommend one.. HOW HOW can i NOT "flash" the dvd drive firmware, so i know what to look out for.	csinclair83 (200)
