95455 2002-11-02 07:53:00 I take it you do have IE6 then.:D
But seriously, I think this patch is in the service pack 1 for winXP, so if you have that, or regular updates.......
But then you probably don't have XP, so heres where were (me) playing a guessing game. Sorry but more info should be given. Help comes a little more specified.

95456 2002-11-02 08:11:00 If I were you I'd try this months cd, if you haven't already got it. Mozilla is superior to IE(4,5,6). You could even try Mozilla (www.mozilla.org)'s newest release of a beta version. It has tabbed browsing (a first), and better control of popups. It even has better language packs, and its even Open-Source so bugs and problems get fixed faster, and more securely. You'll have to find the fixes though, they won't be sent to you.
It's a better browser because I can look at hyperlinks, but not take over the current window, or open a new one. The hyperlink will open 'next-door' inside the current window.
I'm sorry but I'm having so much fun with this new browser:^O -an example, I can have the emoticons running, while taking up no space

All the best with the browsing anyway:)

95457 2002-11-02 08:41:00 If you like Mozilla, give Phoenix a try. Its a lightweight version of Mozilla with no mail, chat or composer. Its built using the Mozilla XUL toolkit and it runs pretty fast! (I'm a Mozilla fan btw, so you can take my word for it ;-)) You can get it here: www.mozilla.org

Phoenix is still very new, but its pretty decent so far. I also like how you can heavily customise the menu and decide where every single button goes.

Later on, a standalone XUL mail client will appear too.

95458 2002-11-02 10:46:00 It looks good, so I downloaded it.;-)
Trouble:-( is, I can't find a language pack for it.
My other-half is Chinese, and so every now and then she likes to browse in Chinese. This was a major plus:x for Mozilla, as it's translation pack is far superior to IE:D.
If there is a Chinese Language Pack for phoenix, then I will Install it now:)

95459 2002-11-02 18:59:00 I don't know how well the translation packs work for Phoenix. The plug-ins are slowly being migrated over at the moment. You could try the language pack from Mozilla to see if it will work but no guarantees :) segfault (655)
