A one-sided, arbitrary or dogmatic argument

This is an especially useful word for those late night diagnostic sessions when you are trying to convince yourself that the current crash was absolutely nothing to do with the warez program you just finished downloading and installing.

Let the credits roll:

Programming by Hackerz ]:)

BSOD by Microsoft :^O

Stupidity by ?:|

It's good to have a nice solid word to use when arguing with yourself, that way you have a good chance of winning. :D

95393 2002-11-03 20:18:00 Wow!

You well & truly lost me there Clueless.

Could you give me a clue as to the social worker link to Ipsedixitism?

In the best traditions of WFTWE I'm not expecting it to be literal, but my interest is aroused ?:| ?:|

95394 2002-11-03 20:42:00 Billy,

Show me a socail worker who isn't using "A one-sided, arbitrary or dogmatic argument" done in the nicest possible way of course. The same applies to most politically correct language, or any enviroment where cencorship is used, after all we can not have things balanced with any of that OFFENSIVE other point of veiw stuff, or incorrect ways of thinking.

If that doesn't make sense that because it was written between the hours of 9:00am and 12:00, and i'm only up because the phone rang for my flatmate.. Must make make change to PABX programming, calls on line2 should no longer ring ext 2 which is my bedroom!

95395 2002-11-03 22:42:00 Now I understand, and I agree with you.

I have an aversion to political correctness or "official-speak" and prefer to be honest and tell it like it is. That way all concerned can make a fully informed decision about their options and responsibiities.

Cheers

PS do you work nights? Phone calls too early in the morning are a real nuisance when trying to sleep. In my younger (single) days I used to disconnect the phone and leave an answerphone hooked up while I recovered from the previous night's excesses

95396 2002-11-03 22:53:00 Yes Billy,
I do indeed work insane hours at night
Saturdays excesses included mixing a band i work for at one venue, working at a gastly death metal concert were i bought in some additional mic.s ,20 stage lights and the associated gear at another venue later that night, and hiring some of my own gear out for 2 other "events". This is why i usualy avoid posting anything here in the morning.
