95361 2002-11-02 03:51:00 Does anyone know where I can get a list of file extensions and what programs to use to open/run/view them with. I've tried to view files from the usenet that use extensions such as .rar or .csv but I don't know what program to open them with. jrust (2064)

.rar is a compressed file, needing a compression utility (available as shareware) to open.

.csv is "comma separated values" and is usually able to be opened from within a spreadsheet such as Excel.
