| 95603 | 2002-11-03 06:38:00 | Just out of curiosity, does anybody use an alt shell/explorer? Like Litestep or geOShell or such? I been mucking around with some, but most seem either buggy, hard to use, or dead. Have had a tutu with Stardock stuff. Shame it ain't price free and bug free.. |

| 95605 | 2002-11-03 09:06:00 | I had a we go with Litestep once. I know someone that has ditched explorer completely from his w2k setup. I didn't like it all that much, i should have configured a bit better and spent more time with it probably. But what I did find fun was uninstalling the shell while using it ;) |

| 95606 | 2002-11-03 10:18:00 | Litestep is pretty much dead now. I tried it a couple of times but found it a bit tedious having to edit the step.rc file everytime I wanted to change something. | SoniKalien (792) | ||

| 95610 | 2002-11-04 03:11:00 | Sorry :D depends on your OS, but under 98 you (theoretically) can. Theoretically, you should be able to use StarOffice (and maybe OpenOffice) as a shell / explorer replacement. I haven't tried cos it's a bit heavy for my old system. There's a few around which work to some degree of success. BTW eSharp kept crashing on me... |
