95530 2002-11-02 11:02:00 My hard drive used to contain two partitions-a C primary partition, and a D Logical partition inside an extended primary partition. Both partitions (C and D) were Fat 32 and each was 4.4GB in size. I am running Win98SE.

I had Rogue Spear ("RS") installed to the D partition and it ran very successfully. I successfully uninstalled it and used Partition Magic v6.0 to merge the D partition into the C partition so I could install Mandrake Linux (yet to be installed). I ran Partition Magic Drive Mapper to update the drive letter associations once the partitions were merged. I now have a 8.4GB primary C partition.

I reinstalled RS to that [C] partition. When RS is started from either the Start|programs menu or activating the graphical user face when the CDRom drawer is closed, the following occurs:

1 The RS splash screen pops up, then disappears.

2 The mouse pointer becomes active and then stops.

3 Nothing happens after that.

I have installed and uninstalled RS several times to the C partition without success-same sequence of not running occurs.

I have used Norton 2002 Utilities Speed disc and optimizer, and have also run windows scandisk and defrag to no avail.

Any thoughts on this dilemma please??

95531 2002-11-02 12:09:00 Can you please tell me how you installed Rogue Spear to your D partition? BootyLicious (526)
95532 2002-11-02 20:05:00 It almost sounds like a video problem
Could you have disturbed your video card drivers when you changed your partitions?
Try reinstalling anyway. It won't hurt anyhting.
Neat game huh? :-)
