| 95451 | 2002-11-02 06:47:00 | I got a new super fast computer in Julywith WinXp installed. Last week i downloaded the winxp sp1 which took 2+ hrs. I had frequent auto disconnect during this interminable time. Can some one please advise me how to reset auto disconnect. I have looked on the OE & IE help and nothing seems to point to an answer. | lydia (2422) | ||

There is nothing you can "reset" on your computer really. You could get an application (free off the web) to allow you to resume where you left off a bit tidier. Something such as Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). |

Pick the Connections tab, and below the remove button is a settings button - click the settings button. On this new page select the properties button, then pick the options tab. Now you will see a "Redialling Options" radio box. The third option is "idle time before hanging up". Change this setting to never. Hopefully this will fix everything. :) rads:) |
