| 95361 | 2002-11-02 03:51:00 | Does anyone know where I can get a list of file extensions and what programs to use to open/run/view them with. I've tried to view files from the usenet that use extensions such as .rar or .csv but I don't know what program to open them with. | jrust (2064) | ||
| 95362 | 2002-11-02 03:56:00 | Look here (http://filext.com/) for a glossary site. .rar is a compressed file, needing a compression utility (available as shareware) to open. .csv is "comma separated values" and is usually able to be opened from within a spreadsheet such as Excel. |

| 95363 | 2002-11-02 07:53:00 | With a *.csv file you can right click on it and send it to a word editor like Notepad or Wordpad, a good format to save your Email address from your Email program, I had a friend not so long ago could not import his old address book, if he had of saved them in *.csv format he could of got into it and copy and paste the Email names and address. | E.ric (351) | ||
