| 95999 | 2002-11-05 00:08:00 | Sorry mate, Geocities wont allow you to link directly to an image like that, you have to create a basic HTML page and put the pic in that! <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Pic</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> www.geocities.com/robsonde/sc.jpg </BODY </HTML> Cheers |

It is used for a lot of standard things in Windows but it is also used by various virus's as well. From MS - "This is the user-mode portion of the Win32 subsystem (with Win32.sys being the kernel-mode portion). Csrss stands for client/server run-time subsystem and is an essential subsystem that must be running at all times. Csrss is responsible for console windows, creating and/or deleting threads, and some parts of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment." As you noticed it after Kazza-lite it would pay to check your PC with a virus scanner updated to the latest definitions just in case. Csrss is used by a lot of the latest and greatest virus's available worldwide via your P2P program. |

It should be killed off if at all possible and if it cannot I seriously suggest somebody with some clout have a talk to MS about removing that "feature" completely from the messenger service. Ahhh the glory that is Microsoft - the "criminals" best friend :D |
