It sure is - so often you sit there and wonder what has worked and what was a complete waste of bandwidth :)

95855 2002-11-04 20:46:00 All you helpful and entertaining ppl shouldn't forget that sometimes it takes a while for a person to get back here and then may think as I have done often that it was bit old now to go posting "Gee thanks".

It's never too old to say thanks... it appears at the top of the list of threads anyway, so just replying to the original thread with a "thank you, it worked" will be seen and appreciated - I like it as then I know what works and what doesn't.

I agree. I'm often quite disappointed when people don't come back and say whether something worked or not and it actually puts me off posting another reply to a similar question in case it's the wrong advice.

For the number of people that I've directed to the unwanted home page FAQ I STILL haven't heard from one single person as to whether it solved their problem or not. From that I can only assume that the FAQ is a load of bu... er, rubbish and completely useless. :-(

People should also consider those searching the archives for advice - for those posts where someone has acknowledged success or otherwise, it makes it much easier to decide whether to try the advice for themselves.
