| 95848 | 2002-11-04 07:03:00 | Using Outlook Express in Win xp profesional sending emails is fine but if there is an attachment it keeps timing out. I can get it away eventually but takes up to an hour to do. This is for say a 20k photo. Modem is a PCI hcf 56 flex modem. Any help in resolving the issue would be appreciated. |

| 95849 | 2002-11-04 08:32:00 | Either you have a very slow connection or the ISP mail server is running slow for some reason. You could try increasing the server timeout in Tools/Accounts/Properties/Advanced Increase the server timeout to about 3 mins and try that. If that does not help and your web sites are also slow to load consider slowing your modem connection with extra settings. If you want to do this let me know and I will advise the string for your modem and how to add it. Also disconnect all phones and anything else connected to the phone line while you are connected and get Telecom to do a line check for any excess noise or interference if the problem continues. |
