2002-11-03 19:28:00 | If anyone has one still! I have mine in tractor mode with a heap of paper ready to go in, what I'd like for it to do, is print on each page seperately (as opposed to any old place) and still be able to rip off the last printed page, with out having to re-feed the remaining paper at the top again to come out properly... It's new to me and I haven't got a manual so I'm just getting to grips with it! (a manual would be cool if anyone knows where I can dowload one!!) Thanks Trev

2002-11-03 21:25:00 | I don't like my chances either Robo, as the top of the page is below the bar that would hold it in place, if it were lower! (meaning the last page to be printed, holds the next, new sheet in place). The self test printed all the alphabet a few times....but, no page co-ordination Just tried the Wp idea thanks Soni, no luck there.. What about stopping manually mid page, which is another thing it doesn't do? I can cancel on the screen and it tell me that it is canceling, but nothing happen at the printer end. any Ideas for that one??

2002-11-03 22:57:00 | Lots of models do a tear-off advance, then bring it back when they print. I'd be very surprised if this one did that. robo.

2002-11-03 23:49:00 | It was in english thanks Merlin. I'm still reading but it does do a crude DIY, tear-off advance and my hope is that it will do it automatically. I'll need to read a bit more..(and think positive thoughts about previous cutting edge technology!) Thanks again guys Trev

2002-11-04 02:52:00 | One thing to remember is that the reference point is paper position at power on (or last formfeed). It doesn't magically know where the tear-off line is. (Some expensive fast lineprinters did know, registration marks printed on the paper). Fanfold paper is nice ... the pages stay in order. Though it can look nice in a wind too ... instead of a lot of individual pages flying, it's a long banner.
