95927 2002-11-04 20:23:00 My internet banking site (bankdirect) seems to have recently changed the front page and every time I go there I get this question:

This page contains both secure and unsecure items.
Do you want to display the unsecure items?

Needless to say, the unsecure part is a bit of self-promotion.

And it drives me nuts.

I have had a look to see if there is any obvious way of getting it out of my way, and have had no success.

Anyone know a way around it?

95928 2002-11-04 20:32:00 If the default selection is [b]No]/b] isn't it just a matter of hitting 'enter' again?

95930 2002-11-04 20:52:00 Well, yes, I didn't think of that (duh). But I would rather it would decide itself. I was happy in my world typing my userid and password nice and directly.
Even worse, sometimes the tab from userid wanders off up the page and is a complete nuisance.
When a page is one that you regularly use, some of the niggles become majors.

95931 2002-11-04 21:00:00 Agree entirely. (Not v. helpful, but.)

Maybe you could email the Webmaster (if you can find an address) and ask how to get around it but I think like lots of coding things are 'welded' together to make you take the lot.

e.g. Can't get rid of Task Scheduler in win98 without turning off Critical Update.

95932 2002-11-04 21:32:00 Robo, I'm not sure that this will help any, but I haven't seen that message since I upgraded to IE6 - I'm wondering if Microsoft cottoned on to how much that message annoyed people, and removed it (or perhaps gave an option to turn the message off) when they released version 6?

Just an idea - not sure if that's what solved it, or if the site I was using just changed something somewhere :)

95933 2002-11-05 03:32:00 Can't say that I know what you're talking about robo. When I go to the page I get asked to allow Active X to run and I say no, then the page just loads obediently like it should with no further questions. Just put in my account no. and password and away I go. Susan B (19)
95934 2003-05-12 20:08:00 This is happening to me as well. More often when I use my homepage (ihug) Help would be appreciated, I know the original post is a bit old
Thanks

95935 2003-05-12 20:37:00 If you go to IE tools, internet options, security in IE6 there is an option in Custom level under internet zone for 'display mixed content'
If this option is set to prompt, you will get the message you describe.
