| 96045 | 2002-11-05 03:30:00 | Hi Babe, did you enjoy the Targa Rally? Thought I'd just post another quick hello as I haven't heard anything more about my save as problem with Word - have you managed to crack it or are you admitting defeat?!! I hadn't checked the site for a few days but there is still no answer for how to get rid of the flashing orange box - no one else has dared try either! Wish I had looked in earlier, as the Taniwha thread is now closed. I may have been tempted to point out that these fearsome creatures are never found inhabiting WINZ offices, do they? Excuse any spelling mistakes - I keep getting an error message ('an error occurred processing your request') whenever I try to spell check it. |

| 96046 | 2002-11-05 03:58:00 | Hi write-click, I had the same scenario as you. I tried a few things without success but just recently I downloaded Tweak UI for Windows XP. I thought that I was on to something because there is a setting to 'Prevent Applications from taking Focus' but I havn't had any success. If anything now when I follow the same procedure sometimes it prevents 'orange flashing box' and sometimes it doesn't, ?:|. Maybe this will help Babe Ruth...........or maybe not. sam m |

| 96047 | 2002-11-05 21:53:00 | Glad to hear I'm not the only one Sam, but it's getting more and more frustrating! Yesterday I got some emailed documents to edit for CYF and after opening each document I tried to save them under the same name on my hard drive and encountered all sorts of problems. Not only was there the flashing orange box, but Word crashed on me at least three times. I was closing each document after I'd saved it and I kept getting error messages telling me the file was being used by another application, etc. Then when I'd saved them all in a separate file on my hard drive, there were three copies of Word still open! Closing them brought up even more messages, telling me that changes had been made to normal or something and did I want to save those changes. I started to get rather peeved to put it politely! I'm beginning to wish I'd never changed from good old Mac! | write-click (2248) | ||
