96022 2002-11-05 01:07:00 I've scanned the image of my handwritten sig. to my computer and saved it as a jpg ok, but when using the"Insert" option in an email, the image appears huge (I've tried downsizing the image in my photo editing app to minute dimensions to try and stop the sig. appearing so large in OE, but to no avail). Resizing the box in OE makes the quality of the jpg deteriorate too much.
I'm using OE Express 5.5.
I've tried using the signatures tab in Options to change the txt signature to a jpg file (option at bottom of dialogue box for "edit signature" allows you to select "all files" when browsing for a substitute) and it all seems to work until I actually insert the sig in an email, then OE pops up a box saying that the sig. isn't a valid txt file and has removed it.
If I do it using the "Insert" option - would scanning at a really low resolution make the saved jpg smaller in OE?

Otherwise scanning at a low resolution would work.

96024 2002-11-05 01:38:00 Just a tough, but do you really want to send you signature to all and sundry? I personally don't think this is a good idea. You can create a signature file for use in Outlook Express which contains your name and email address and perhaps a phone number or physical adress. but be very wary of sending your real signature to anyone. crozier (2004)

Oops, what I meant to say was "Just a thought"

96026 2002-11-05 04:28:00 What graphix software do you have? If you have Photochop, it is very easy to resize an image down to something very user friendly.

;\ What size would you like that hand written "X" to be? ;\

I was just gonna send an email to the local scholl confirming I was picking one of the kids up at an earlier time - thought the sig. would be a good idea!
(Hadn't actually intended using it as a default)

96029 2002-11-06 04:39:00 I don't think that a "picture of a signature" would really have any legal validity. If the school doubts your identity, they'd probably prefer to call you on the phone to confirm that "you" (whoever "you" is) is at your known home. ;-) And anyway, when your child screams at the 10 foot high troll who is attempting to grab, they will notice ... :D Graham L (2)
