96232	2002-11-05 10:27:00	I installed NIS just before..and went to "filter" the pornographic websites, so they cannot be accessed from this computer, and when i did it....i went to try it...since i knew of a few that my bro went to..and it still let me veiw......am i doing something wrong? I did restart computer b4 doing this, thought a restart mite kick it into working order.. Using winxp home and IE6...	csinclair83 (200)
96233	2002-11-05 10:30:00	You've probably set the administrator with full permissions, and your XP account probably has admin rights, so NIS think's that you're logging in as admin, and therefore able to view any site. You need to somehow tell NIS that you're not wanting full viewing rights. Mike.	Mike (15)
96234	2002-11-05 10:37:00	well when i got this computer i set up 2 accounts "chris sinclair" and "family" and i want this NIS to work for BOTH accounts.. the family one is limited while chris sinclair is adminstrator.. and yeah as i said b4 i want NIS to work for both accounts...is there a way of doing this or would i need to do something like install it twice, one on each account or something..	csinclair83 (200)
96235	2002-11-05 19:13:00	What you'd need to do is set up NIS with it's own accounts, rather than relying on the Windows inbuilt accounts (which makes the admin account the one with all access to sites). If you go through the NIS wizard for setting up parental controls, you should be able to set individual accounts with passwords etc. for parental control, and this should work - however that'll mean each person will have to log into NIS to get access to the Net. Sorry I can't be more clear on this, but I don't use NIS, so I'm going from memory on how to do it :) Mike.	Mike (15)

I know this is back...but mmm i found out this morning that porno is still being accessed...and that yes i setted up everything on its own acc...but theres this little glitch...which is..the person can just right click on the NIS icon in systray and click logoff...and it'd log the account off and make the web full security breached..so anything can be accesssed. how cna i make a password for this log off mode.. theres a passowrd to log on...but not to log off?... i've checked alot of places on the program but cant seem 2 find anything can someone help :D	csinclair83 (200)
