96142 2002-11-05 07:00:00 I have an ASUSTek E616 DVD-ROM drive thats been giving me Problems. It has never really impressed me since I purchased it brand new about 5mnths ago. I posted a thread about it here some time ago and got some advise on how to improve performance and followed it which gave me better results but still not perfect. I decided to "Reformat" my hdd and before installing anything else I installed "powerDVD" that came with the drive and tested it on my nice clean system but its still disapointing. If I view the "Event Viewer" while I have a cd (of any type) in the drive I notice several error messages that will go on as long as the cd is playing. Thats strange because the cd actually plays but all the while an error is being logged second by second.
The log will look something like this:
Type Date Time Source
Error 5/11/2002 7:11:31 p.m. cdrom
Error 5/11/2002 7:11:31 p.m. cdrom

Anyone have any ideas please??
