| 96095 | 2002-11-05 06:06:00 | disable programmes at startup. These use up memmory. When you use up your memmory windows uses the hard-disk. This is significantly slower than RAM. so type in msconfig at the run command and disable programmes not need to be loaded at start up, like real player stuff etc. Or get more RAM or upgrade your computer. Also clearing out the registry of crap will help speed up the system. Not sure of any programmes, check out a download site for a registry cleaner. If you have nortons utilities it has one. | 96096 | 2002-11-05 06:32:00 | What about trying a reformat? It will wipe your hard drive so that you can reinstall Windows. It also wipes your programs and data however, so you will have to reinstall everything but you will notice the difference the speed difference afterwards. >>> "Hey fellow long-term residents of PressF1.
