| 96041 | 2002-11-05 03:35:00 | Hi, I hope someone can help. I am trying to install Apache on RedHat 7.3 & keep getting an error. Quote "failed dependencies":libmm.so.11 is needed by apache........" I have scoured the net & can't find anything relative to the problem & it's driving me nuts. I had no problem installing on 7.0 Any ideas please. Someone told me they had the same problem & installed an older version from 7.0 & it installed fine. I tried & got the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I torch this thing!!!! Thanks |

It's telling you exactly what the problem is. ;-) A "failed dependency" means that the package requires a particular library, or version of a library, to run, so the system won't let you load it, only to have it not work. Get the appropriate library RPM package, install that, and apache will install and run. |
