2002-11-05 01:13:00 | I have a great program for small business and farmers. What I want to do is to record on to a CD a demonstration of the program with a voice over by copying each screen. I want a CD which I can give people which is both a sales aid and also a guide for users. How do I do it? Ken Chandler

2002-11-05 01:23:00 | Make a PowerPoint presentation with screenshots & voice-overs etc, then port it to a webpage (PowerPoint can do this), then use a shell execution program to make the web page auto-run when the CD with it on is inserted, simple :D I have done this many times with PowerPoint presentations for customers and it works well for windows users. | 96035 | 2002-11-05 03:54:00 | here's (pressf1.co.nz) a link to the FAQ on how to autorun. essiantially this is all there is meant to be in a autorun file: [autorun] open=setup.exe icon=setup.exe you can change the "open" field to point to a html file as suggestd by nz_liam.

2002-11-05 04:12:00 | vk_dre will that work?? (open=xxx.htm) I always thought the autorun.ini file only worked with executables; hence it used shellexec to open the html file. Cheers Liam

2002-11-05 07:43:00 | also try Karen's Autorun ini file editor (www.karenware.com) quite useful for making other things autorun, like video files. | vk_dre (195) | |
2002-11-05 08:52:00 | But just remember that not everyone uses PowerPoint :) If would be much better to create a presentation and export it to HTML so that there is no requirement of having PowerPoint. | segfault (655) | |

After saving all of these images into jpegs or wot ever image file, then open MS Movie Maker (If u have it) then create a video file by compiling all the images into sort of a small video file (high quality) should be within 50mb limit. Now use either Virtual Dub or TMPGEnc's audio dub feature to mix ur audio file with the video file into one complete Video/Audio file. Then there u have it. u can get virtual dub from DivX Digest.Com (www.divx-digest.com) and u can get TMPGEnc from Here (http:). cheers, v.K |
