96679 2002-11-07 03:41:00 Hi,
I was wondering,
is it possible to set up a LAN (wireless) over, say, 10km?
If so, any details would be great.
cheers

96680 2002-11-07 03:49:00 It's possible. Can be expensive. Licence-free wireless links use very low power, and have a limited range (around 100 m, and you want 100 times that). They are licence free because they have minimal change of affecting other users, and the condition is that you can't complain if anyone else interferes with you.

There are people playing with networking such things, so that you get more range. Have a look at this group's progress (http://www.yobbo.co.nz/).
