I ran a program a while ago called DtempWinDrvExpert which it said would back up all my drivers on ME into a designated folder, which it appeared to do.Now I have found a later program called WinDriversBackup v1.0.1.Is it safe to delete the old folder (called My Drivers) so I can tidy things up with this new program? Do these programs actually move the drivers from where they were before I started playing, to a new folder, or they in actual fact a copy, and therefore safe to delete?
Thanks,Neil. |

If it says it is "backing up" that is what it should have done: made copies. You can remove the directory. Of course it might not have copied the files :D So be paranoid and check first. Search for some of the files in "My Drivers" --- you should see two of each (one in My Drivers, and one in a Windows type location.) |

It's possible to be too paranoid. ;-) Just check a few: if it did it, it did it for all, and I'm pretty sure it will have copied the files ... windows can be fussy about where the files are when you are using them. |

Thanks Graham L.Have checked and it was just a backup folder. The only problem I had was that I had installed the latest Nvidia driver in that folder,so uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, which went somewhere else. Then deleted old My Drivers backup folder and made another. And everything is still working.Amazing! :-) |
