96453 2002-11-06 03:22:00 Hi, has anybody had experience with MS Professional Office used ok in Win 98 and transferring it for use in XP. ?Updating drivers etc, bugs or other hassles encountered. Any comments would be appreciated. FrankS (257)
96454 2002-11-06 03:33:00 FrankS,

I use MS Office 2000 Premium on WinXP, previously run on WinNT4, and Win2000Pro (used Office97 on Win9x). Don't forget to apply the service packs (service releases) ie SR1a (110Mb) and SP2 (19Mb) and the downloadable security patches. Never had any 'real' issues with it.

Cheers, Babe.

96456 2002-11-06 06:35:00 I have run Office 97, 2000 and XP on Win98 and O2K and OXP on WinXP. I have installed all upgrades and bug fixes as issued but never had any problems. andy (473)

96458 2002-11-07 06:52:00 I do believe that Office 95 is not an XP supported package - it's not expected to run in Windows XP. If you do get it to work, you're lucky, but I'd suggest you'll probably need to upgrade to a newer version.

96459 2002-11-10 03:05:00 For info,
Word worked OK with Compatability Win 95, but Excell would not. Excell runs with Compatability Win 95 switched off. Don't ask how, why or what hex was cast on the screen.
