96702 2002-11-07 04:54:00 Does anybody know of a decent proxy server, that will allow me to connect a couple of old apple lc2's running a mac version of tcp/ip, allow remote connection to the internet, i.e. over a server configuration page, has good setup wizards etc. and a wide range of ports for file-sharing and chat programs, such as trillian and msn, and is free? Microsoft's Internet Connection Sharing just doesn't cut the cheese for me, with hardly any configurable variables. Young Whiz Kid (2051)
96703 2002-11-07 05:15:00 You can beat Squid www.squid-cache.org But you'll need a Gnu box to stick it on :) segfault (655)
96704 2002-11-07 05:18:00 Hehe, Open-Source is usually your best bet as mentioned, there is one called EasyProxy
www.nycsoftware.com
Which is supposed to be pretty okay, but you can try Free Proxy Download search at google and it'll bring up loads!

Otherwise, WinGate is meant to be pretty good too!

Cheers
