Make sure that your CD recorder is properly installed; the hardware and the software for it (if needed). Might also try uninstalling Nero and then installing it again. | Hervard (405) | ||
2002-11-08 09:08:00 | Some game CD's and others have copy protection. Try using CloneCD instead of Nero. Also check that your CDWriter is connected as a Master on the Secondary IDE. I normally use CloneCD for this and write an Image file to the hard drive. I then write the Image to the CD. What make CDWriter do you have and what operating system do you use? A google search will take you to the CloneCD software. Something like www.elby.com AIRI. Elaborate Bytes anyway.

2002-11-09 01:40:00 | With new copy protection, you will definitley need Clone CD or similar. Clonyxxl will also give you info on the protection level of CD's. Search via google. http://www.clony.tk Haven't checked this but post back if not. Bye

2002-11-09 07:07:00 | First you need to format the cds with Incd. Is there an icon in your system tray for this? Click on it to run Incd. Then if you still have troubles (like I did) you will need to try a different brand of cd. I bought a pack of five cdrws and none worked, bought one of another brand and formatted no problems. Then however when I went to burn to the disc everything locked up, requireing a reboot. As mentioned elsewhere I think it may pay to close down Incd before attempting to burn to the disc. Hope my experience's are of some help as finding info on all this proved difficult to find. | Danger (287) | |
2002-11-09 20:40:00 | I have never formatted a CD-R disk yet, only CD-RW disks. As other people have suggested, try copying something else, such as a music CD, to see if the problem is with the disk or your writer or the program. If you can copy a music CD then it may just be game CD giving you problems. What did you actually choose to copy it as? It should have been Data. Are you trying to copy from CD-ROM straight to CD-R or do you put the game disk in your burner for Nero to save temporarily to your hard drive, then, when it tells you to, you put the CD-R disk in to burn? If this is not how you do it, then give it a try.
