| 97590 | 2002-11-10 20:31:00 | Hi F1 I am wondering if anyone has had a similar problem? I have 4 sites with Veritas Backup exec 8.6, Windows 2000 server SP2 and HP Netservers, HP tape drives with seperate SCSI controllers that have had the following problem. Occasionally (once per week - different days) the job comes up as cancelled because the hardware is off line. I have looked in the Veritas support site, but the problem does not seem to be related to tapes or cables or SCSI controllers. To resolve the problems, I recreate the job and this seems to work. I am guessing that it is something to do with exchange backup, because a backup without exchange often works, if the problem has become persistent ie daily problem. I look forward to see if anyone else is experiencing these problems. |

Try speaking to Phil if you call them, he should be able to help you. :D |
