2002-11-10 00:24:00 | Hi, i'm after a video card that will play games like Quake 3, MOH:AA, etc I'm on a tight budget, but i've found these 4 that i'd be prepared to pay for, could you guys reccomend which one is the best, (they're ranked in cheapest to dearest) 1. AGP 32mb TNT2 Ultra with TV out (will this play games like Q3??) 2. G-Force 2 MX400 32 MB 3. Leadtek Winfast GeForce 256 32Mb SDRAM 4. Asus V6600 Geforce 32MB wot are #'s 3, and 4 - are they liek Geforce 1, came out before GF2 or something? Also, the TNT2 ultra - is this teh best TNT available? thanks for help

2002-11-10 23:52:00 | Even on a tight budget, why buy a Geforce2 MX for $100 when you could get a GeForce4 MX for $150- $200? Well worth the extra $50 bucks or so. Check it out at pricespy (www.pricespy.co.nz)

2002-11-11 00:01:00 | What cpu and how much ram have you got? No point putting a fast graphics card in a slow machine - unless it isn't gonna cost you any more ;) Looking at pricespy the best cheap bargin looks like: GeForce2 MX400 64Mb AGP $99

2002-11-11 00:37:00 | If the PC can't handle a GeForce4 MX (which is not the same as an expensive Ti model), what's the point in playing MOHAA anyhow? Spending money now on a GeForce2 just seems like a waste of money.

2002-11-13 07:16:00 | >>> dont listen to any of them!! >>> a geforce 2 will play any of those games with ease!!! Why not listen to anybody? I don't recall anyone saying that a GF2 wouldn't work - they were saying that the money would be better spent on a newer model (sounds logical to me). Mike. PS Did you really need to use that as your username?

Expecially if you're gonna try out games like UT2K3 and that battlefield 1942 or something, that are apparently real GC Hungry! Just make sure your proccessor is upto it, otherwise you could be finding yourself doing a MB upgrade before long! | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
