And yes there is heaps of space.

System is XP Pro SP3

Check disc is ok
Tried different file names.
Tried different locations.
Recycle bin is clear.

The problem seems to be only with Adobe Reader.
Version is 10.1.4

This is the same system in this thread.

I don't understand. You said you can't download a PDF.

I assume you are downloading it from the Internet with a web browser, in which case what has Adobe reader got to do with it?
