1296202 2012-08-22 04:39:00 Bail is readily granted anyway. He has the court's permission to leave...
Plenty of people on bail do bad things, re the current Bail Amendment Bill... He is attending to his sick wife and daughter's wedding... I don't see much issue, more so if he has appealed his conviction - he's still fighting it rather than running away, right?
And if he loses, he will be back on home'd to serve out his sentence, right?

Better than the drug dealer who gets on bail to sleep more drugs...

1296205 2012-08-22 07:37:00 I wonder if the Bridgecorp investors who are owed money are happy with this. They are getting a whole 8c in the dollar from the receiver. Peter Steigrad is able to afford a holiday in Sydney..

Steigrad filed an appeal against his sentence after serving just seven weeks of home detention and returned to his home in Sydney on bail in early July where his ill wife is based.

1296206 2012-08-22 08:06:00 Europe tooooo !.

Wifey was told to get out of Bridgecorp by her advisor and into Provincial "solid as" " Colin Meads saying", lol. Frying pan into the fire, lucky tho, only lost $750.00 in interest.

Still awaiting the court action against all Financial Advisors' for poor advice given to investors', that will be the day too. Like poor j u d g e s' eh.

1296207 2012-08-22 12:49:00 Too many muppets on here who think they could run the country more like it - nothing wrong with what the Court did here, the sentence is on appeal. Twelvevolts (5457)
1296208 2012-08-22 17:45:00 If a person is in jail and they appeal - they stay in jail. If there are compassionate ground for them to leave, eg funeral then this is the decision of higher authorities and it is not given lightly. This reeks of money talks and for someone that was CONVICTED and SENTENCED on charges related to money then surely this should too have been scrutinised at the highest level. He bought a loophole that many others couldn't afford and the fact he could buy this loophole makes this hard for his financially ruined victims to swallow. sam m (517)
