| 1295486 | 2012-08-19 07:17:00 | Ok My uncle brought round a canon camera (Powershot A610) saying it would not take photos. I have had a look at it, and it does take phots, saves them to the SD card fine, you can bring them up, delete and view them. However, no matter what the apature, shutter speed, iso, even with the flash on, the photo is always darkness, a completely blank screen. The screen works fine, as it can view phots taken on another camera just fine. Any ideas? |

| 1295493 | 2012-08-19 10:55:00 | Its an issue with the CCD sensor in the camera that takes the image, unfortunately due to the age of the camera it will be outside its 12 month regional warranty. | nedkelly (9059) | ||
| 1295494 | 2012-08-19 11:25:00 | Sounds like the CCD is buggered. Does the lens fully extend? Check that there is no obsctruction over it (just in case) Perhaps the shutter actuator has jammed. Does it sound "normal" in operation. I have no idea what shutter mechanisims Point and shoots use. On most SLR's the shutter actuation can be visually inspected. | The Error Guy (14052) | ||
| 1295495 | 2012-08-19 21:16:00 | Doesn't sound like the usaul "Canon" CCD problem as I had this problem with a A75 that was repaired by Canon NZ for nothing and a couple of others I knew had theirs repaired as well The usual scenario with the pic's are they are like this www.imaging-resource.com Can't see your Model here but worth a punt |
