1321105 2013-01-02 07:26:00 I am also interested in knowing what expansion cards you have in your PC, if any, or whether you just use the motherboard's onboard devices. For those with multiple PCs please list each computer's cards, if any. FoxyMX (5)
1321106 2013-01-02 08:43:00 USB (3.0) on one and Graphics cards. USB 3 for faster media access (external drives connected when home for media/file sharing) and graphics on the other. The Graphics cars are used to boost the performance of the air heater ;) And the graphics performance. The Error Guy (14052)

Primarily because they have better capabilities than onboard, and have their own RAM rather than using system RAM

1321108 2013-01-02 09:05:00 Graphics but retrospect should not have gotten it, don't play games. I have a Wifi card but that's it.

The old Dell - Wifi card as well. About it. The Dell has a onboard video. Another spare computer has no cards, not working thou, needs a HD.

1321111 2013-01-02 18:30:00 Graphics card and tv tuner, sometimes an extra sata controller for extra ports but not currently as this motherboard has enough. dugimodo (138)

1321113 2013-01-02 19:40:00 Graphics card & NIC (onboard one died). Everything else is onboard. autechre (266)
1321114 2013-01-02 19:50:00 Thanks everyone. :)

The reason I asked is that I am looking at getting a micro ATX motherboard as it is quite a bit cheaper than the full-sized ATX board. It has fewer expansion slots which you people have confirmed won't be a disadvantage since I can't think of anything that the extra ones would be required for. I have never filled more than the graphics and two PCI slots (one of those being for a network card as board didn't have one) on my motherboards so why pay for something that will never be used?
