2013-01-01 07:58:00 | Hi Guys, I'm unsure how long this issue has been going on for but I've noticed that I can't stream HD YouTube (720p or 1080p) over my WiFi. It just doesn't wanna work, it'll play for a few seconds then stop (It's different how far it gets every time) I can however go and sit down on my desktop (Plugged into the network ports on the back of the router) and stream any video at full 1080p. Hell I can stream multiple ones just fine. Copying from one PC to another over WiFi and I get around 9 -> 14MB/sec (112mbps -- Far more than ample), so it's not that the WiFi in general sucks. I can even save a 1080p video to my spare PC (Which is Wireless) from YouTube and then play that back to my WDTV and another to my laptop (Also wireless) concurrently, with no issues. Any ideas where to look from here? I tried changing channel from 1 to 3 to 5 to 11, and have tried changing it from the 20Mhz it was for channel width to 40Mhz and back again, with no joy :( Cheers Chill.

2013-01-02 06:06:00 | Using apps or browser. Have you tried a laptop. What about other HD content from another source, say from within your network? I really have no idea. Just filling in time asking questions. | plod (107) | |
2013-01-02 06:59:00 | Actually that's a good question, I wonder what it's like from the browser, so far I've only tried the official YouTube apps. Should go try it out on my Spare PC too which is wireless now you mention that, thanks.

2013-01-02 08:34:00 | The reason I asked about a different player is the latest update seems to have upset some programs(for me). Skype no longer sends video. The camera app no longer works (green screen(mainly)) and has reduced functions according to feedback. I've done a hard reboot but no joy. | PPp (9511) | |
2013-01-02 08:41:00 | Was gonna say, my laptop (chrome) is fine, S2 (Supernexus AOKP) also streams "HD" fine although I can't seem to find a setting to manualy set 1080/720p output. Try a laptop/desktop wireless, if it's only the Nexus devices and/or the TV then i'd suspect a mis config issue with the router somehow, seems a strange issue though. How does streaming local content work out for you? Another thing to try would be streaming from a non youtube video site.

2013-01-02 11:07:00 | I can stream 1080p filmed material across the WiFi just fine (Like film something from the N4 in 1080p, copy it across the WiFi, then stream it back) Any suggestions for another site?
